Carpe Diem

Your ghost is fading, finally leaving peace in its wake.
The memories before were simply too much for me to take.
Now the past is dissappearing, vanishing into that perfect oblivion
I once dreaded so long ago. No longer blinded by adoration,
I see clearly what truly is. The clarity brought in by morning light
brought soothing warmth back into my life. So here I am,
made anew, andย prepared to “carpe diem.”

It’s more of a rhyming narrative than an actual poem…
